If you keep up with our blog, you might remember me posting last year about having an image make it into the top ten of the International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards film photography category. Well imagine my excitement to have not just one, but two images selected for the top ten of the 2019 awards!
It’s seriously such an honor to be selected again from all of the talented film wedding photographers who entered the competition. I love working with film as one of our main tools on a wedding day. The look and feel of it just can’t be matched!
Here’s the photos that we had selected for this year’s International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards:
This bridal portrait of Kait was shot on Kodak Professional Portra 400 film. I love everything about how this image came together. Kait was such a stunning bride, and the window’s at Fernbank Museum in Atlanta made for the perfect photo spot!
This one of Hannah and Sean from their wedding was shot on Kodak Professional Tri-x 400 film. There was so much laughter and joy with these two. I love how this photo really captures that in their expressions. Plus, you can’t beat black and white film for it’s timeless look!
Both of the photos were taken with my Pentax 645n camera, and developed and scanned at Dunwoody Photo.
