The day after Mike proposed to Jackie at Moraine Lake we got together at Lake Louise for another session together. Proposals are always amazing, but sometimes they don’t give the person being asked a chance to be totally ready for photos (can’t give away the surprise after all). So when Mike asked me about doing a second round of photos, I thought it was a perfect idea! I’m very excited to share some of my favorites from Jackie and Mike’s Lake Louise engagement session.
It was another chilly and beautiful morning in the Canadian Rockies.
After the proposal the day before, the new fiancés went into the town of Banff for some celebrating. Jackie also picked up a beautiful new outfit for the session at Lake Louise.
You can’t miss the iconic Chateau Lake Louise hotel on the north side of the lake. Even if you’re not spending the night, it’s always worth walking through to check out this historic building. It’s also the perfect place for an outfit change!
We definitely lucked out on the weather that morning! It was a cloudy morning that was still nice and bright. The light was balanced out just right to get some glacial blues.
One more outfit change for a quick walk further along the lakeshore.
The clouds were really rolling in at this point. We finished up just as it started to sprinkle. A little rain couldn’t dampen the mood!
